Toys and a stroller, fresh fruit, blankets, balloons, or even a foldable bed. Bags packed for a family vacation are crammed together; Pom-Bär crisps on summer evenings hint at first friendships; flowers and gifts are loaded the day after the wedding. The first child with a lantern, the second being breastfed—time passes.

Over a period of seven years, Mario Wezel has photographed his everyday life as a father. “Spaceship Voyage Voyage” is the fourth work in this series. Each image shows the same section of the same car trunk, offering viewers a glimpse into the everyday life of the modern nuclear family.
